Choose the composition of your herb-rich grassland yourself

NutriHerb Essence with NutriHerb® technology is an herb mixture containing the essential forage herbs chicory, narrowleaf plantain and caraway. This mixture can easily be combined with a grass–clover mixture of your choice. That way, as a dairy farmer, you retain full control over which grasses and clovers you want to combine with the herbs.

With NutriHerb Essence, you create your own tailored herb-rich grassland, aligned with your farm management and soil type.

Extensively tested in practice

Barenbrug runs its own research programme for narrowleaf plantain. Chicory and caraway have been extensively tested in practice within the development programme. Only varieties that score well in a biodiverse grassland are selected by Barenbrug for the NutriHerb herb mixtures.

Composition of NutriHerb Essence

NutriHerb Essence consists of:
50% caraway, 30% narrowleaf plantain and 20% chicory.

In the field, the ratio of the herbs is different. Here we see:
48% caraway, 40% narrowleaf plantain and 12% chicory.
The herbs have proven persistence of 3 to 5 years.
