Turfcharge®+ application instructions

Turfcharge+ is specially developed to complement our grass seed mixtures. Each dosage and recommendation is precisely tailored to the nutrient requirements of your Barenbrug mixture to enable your lawn to reach its full potential, from the ground up! But do not worry: Turfcharge+ can be used on any lawn when applied according to the recommended rates.

1. Preparation: clear & mow. Remove all objects (e.g. leaves, branches) from your lawn and mow the grass. This ensures the fertilizer can reach the soil surface easily.

2. Identify your lawn needs. Look at the label on your Barenbrug grass mixture packaging; that’s your grass mixture name (e.g., “Resilient Blue® Lawn”).
   Go to Table 1, it shows exactly how much Turfcharge+ to use per square meter (g/m²) for your specific mixture in this time of year.

   

   Why this matters: Turfcharge+ is precision-formulated for each Barenbrug lawn mixture. Applying the right amount at the right time helps your lawn thrive and prevents wasted nutrients.

3. Calculate the amount required. Measure your lawn’s area in square meters (m²). Multiply the area by the recommended dosage value (g/m²) from table
   
   Example
   Lawn area: 100 m²
   Dosage in April for Resilient Blue® Lawn: 30g/m²
   = 100 (m²) x 30 (g/m²) = 3000 grams (3 kg)
4. Evenly distribute. Apply the calculated amount as evenly as possible. A fertilizer spreader is recommended for consistent distribution. For best coverage, apply in two passes: one lengthwise and one crosswise.

5. Clean your surfaces. Remove any fertilizer granules from stone, pavement, or decking immediately after application. Turfcharge+ contains iron, which strengthens and colors your lawn but can cause rust stains on hard surfaces.

6. Water it in. Lightly water the lawn after spreading to move the granules off the leaf blades and onto the soil surface. Water just enough until the soil surface is damp, about 5 mm deep. Avoid puddling or runoff.

7. Secure and store. Seal the package securely after use and store in a cool and dry place. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Tips and notes

1. Safety first. Wear gloves and wash hands after handling the granules.
2. Do not overuse. Turfcharge+ is precision-dosed. Sticking to the recommended dosage is key to a healthy lawn.
3. Versatile use. Turfcharge+ can be used on other plants such as shrubs, flowers, and vegetables. Just adjust the dose based on what you’re growing. Nutrient needs vary by plant type and growth stage. Consult local (gardening) guidelines first.
4. Plant-based. Turfcharge+ is a plant-based organic-mineral fertilizer. No blood meal, bone meal, feather meal or manure. Clear ingredients to charge your lawn.
