Packshot General

Do you desire a superior seeded bermudagrass that offers exceptional spring dead spot tolerance and quick spring green up for high-traffic areas? A bermudagrass with a dark green color and excellent density in summer? Barenbrug introduces Monza, the new standard in bermudagrass quality for golf courses, sports turf and high quality lawns.

Monza has exceptional spring dead spot tolerance. Spring dead spot is a fungal disease and one of the most devastating diseases of bermudagrass. These soil-dwelling fungi damage the roots, rhizomes and stolons by completing rotting these plant parts. These fungi are most active at infecting the turfgrass during moist fall conditions when the soil temperature is below 21 C, and they will continue damaging the turfgrass until the soil temperature drop below 10 C. Infections will then resume the following spring as the soil warms again. With Monza, you are guaranteed a healthy turf.

Yellow Jacket Water Manager inside!

The world’s first Seed Enhancement Technology ensures precisely the right balance of moisture for both optimum germination and establishment. Yellow Jacket Water Manager was developed by Aquatrols in cooperation with Barenbrug. When it is irrigated, the substance used to enhance the seed is released into the soil, where it adheres to grains of sand, creating a Plant Survival Zone. Besides retaining water, this zone also regulates the amount of water around each seed, optimising the growing conditions to guarantee vital grass plants that will develop quickly.
